I kayaked this last year and the kayak rental agency person told us to look for openings to cut through via mangrove tunnels as a more direct route to get to Shell Key but we couldn’t find them and ended up

Sorry for the wait in my reply (had some website glitches). I don’t know of any maps through the mangrove tunnels, but that seems like a fun project. I’ll ask around.

Absolutely – Same rules apply as in other intercoastal locations.
