On our overnight New-Year campout, we couldnt help but admire our neighboring campers who had trailored their boat all the way from Virginia to camp on Shell Key. In the past, Janoah Todd and Amy Spoonhower spent their vacation at the Ft. Desoto Campgrounds. But cost and availability made them look for an alternative. After looking up the new rules and maps at shellkey.org, they obtained a camping permit and geared up for several blissful days on the island. Particularly cool is their outhouse tent seen in the image below. We at shellkey.org are gratified to have helped pass the word to these friendly travelers. And we are grateful for their contribution to the well being of our island.
