Key does not have recepticals for trash. The rules are simple
- Pack it in, Pack it out. You are required
to pack all your trash and waste off the island. In addition,
we ask that you also try to remove any trash that you find
that has been left behind by careless visitors or washed
ashore from passing vessels.
Make
it a habit
If everyone who visits our island makes a habit of picking
up other people's trash - every time they visit - we can
keep the island clean and a joy to visit.

Cleanups
Several times per year, we host cleanup parties to cleanup
after particularly busy holidays and in combination with
other events like astronomy star parties. If you have a
boat and are willing to help, please contact
us.

Memorial Day Weekend. Six of us walked the
south end of the island with garbage bags. Surprisingly
little trash despite holiday crowds.
